After Thibs was fired from the Bulls, he took one year off in an effort to become a better coach and a better leader. He spent time with the Spurs, the Warriors, the Hornets, hell even Tony La Russa and the Arizona Diamond Backs. This was all meant for him to recharge and refresh and hopefully come back with some new philosophies.

I hurt every time I see KAT run the court. His legs look so incredibly heavy. It’s honestly sad to watch, these players look so gassed but Thibs just leaves them out on the court. At what point does it become a detriment to players health. Just look what happened to Jimmy Butler and dare I mention that one kid from Chicago who’s career was ended short? I know it’s probably unfair to put that on Thibs but how many players need to get hurt until someone blackballs this guy.

and I don't want to hear the "KAT and Wiggins improved on defense they're not bad anymore" thing. Wolves are 27th in DRTG in the whole league. they almost exclusively play their starters. we know that Butler, Gibson, Teague and Dieng are good defenders, we have a lot of data and film on them being good defenders.

I think scheme is usually much more important than individual performance in defense but not to the point that a team full of good to average defenders are ranked 27th. come on now people, at which point they're going to be held accountable?

Yea I know his metrics stink. It’s been beaten into the ground. Defenses respect him and he makes plays. His potential is obvious and it’s not like he can’t score. There’s more than the stat sheet. And the Wolves are in the playoffs in the West for the first time since KG. I think a significant portion of the hate is unfair to the team on Reddit. The way people talk you’d think they had been a top tier team that fell to an 8 instead of a team that lost a star still making it in.

I’ve watched all but a handful of Wolves games this year, and the regression is insane. I’m also with you how Thibs isn’t the right fit, but what about Towns and Wiggins totally blowing potential clutch moments? Jamal getting torched on D and lobbing up garbage shots?
